"Rolling Into Innovation: ECSU STEM Truck Inspires Students at BECHS"
Antonio Hoggard

Bertie Early College High School recently welcomed the STEM Truck from Elizabeth City State University (ECSU), which brought an exciting hands-on learning experience to our students. The mobile STEM lab provided students with the opportunity to explore cutting-edge technology, engage in interactive experiments, and explore innovative fields like robotics, coding, and engineering.

This visit was part of ECSU's outreach program to inspire future leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Students gained valuable insights into STEM careers and had the chance to apply their classroom knowledge in a fun and practical setting.

The STEM Truck's visit underscored Bertie Early College High School's commitment to providing enriching educational opportunities that prepare students for success in the 21st century. A big thank you to ECSU for fostering curiosity and innovation in our school community!

"Cheer for Change: Spirits Soaring Through Service!"
Antonio Hoggard

Our cheerleaders recently showed their spirit off the field by participating in a community service project. They dedicated time to giving back and making a positive impact. Their efforts included organizing and packing backpacks, all aimed at uplifting the community they proudly represent. This project showcased their commitment to leadership, teamwork, and service, proving they are champions both on and off the sidelines.

BETA Makes It Better!

The school’s BETA Club recently teamed up with the town of Windsor for a park cleanup initiative. Students volunteered their time and energy to pick up litter, clear debris, and beautify the park, making it a cleaner, more welcoming space for the community. This project not only demonstrated the students’ commitment to service but also strengthened their connection with the local community, showing the positive impact of teamwork and civic responsibility.
