Counselor's Corner

To: Parents and Guardians,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Sharon Tann and I joined Bertie Early College family as the School Counselor the 2018-19 school year.

 As the School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, personal, and social development of all students. I look forward to offering support to the students, staff, families and the community. I will be meeting with students individually and in small groups, collaborating with teachers, parents and staff, as well as consulting with community organizations to benefit the needs of all Bertie Early College students and families.

Students can request to meet with me or they can be referred by a teacher, administrator, and parent. The request can be made known by an approach, phone call or email. I encourage you to reach out if you have concerns regarding your child. If you would like for me to meet with your child, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I am here to help students achieve their personal, social and academic goals, as well as provide support for the parents and teachers. I can be reached by email at stann@bertie.k12.nc.us or phone at 252.794.2150, extension 2145. My office hours are from 7:30am until 4:00pm
