Bertie Early College Comprehensive Counseling Program

BEC counseling program is designed to gurantee that all students acquire the competencies to become successful in school and to make a successful transition from school to college, or career or to a combination of both, college and career. BEC counseling department thrive on data to increase student acheivement, which affects school accountabililiy.  Services are provided regularly in three domains: academic, career and persona/social. Although immediate and crisis needs of students are to be met, a major focus of BEC counseling program is to provide all students with experiences to help them grow and develop. The comprehensive part of the program consist of a wide range of activities and services ,such as assessments, information, consultation, counseling, referral, placement, follow-up and follow-through. In summary, BEC counseling program is an integrated system of counseling activities that are systematically provided to students.
